The 18-hole "Emerson" course at the Emerson Golf Club facility in Emerson, New Jersey features 6,949 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The course rating is 71.5 and it has a slope rating of 126 on Blue grass. Designed by Alex Ternyei, the Emerson golf course opened in 1962. United Water Resources/United Properties Group, Inc. manages this facility, with Thomas Tavano as the Vice President - Business Solutions.

Emerson is an average course with really nothing special except that it is not too expensive and it stays open in the Winter so you can play it on those few Winter days when there is no snow and it warms up a bit and no other courses are open.

Played on a relatively slow Tuesday morning so pace of play was not an issue, but it has been on busier days. I live nearby so I play this course about 10 times a year and it gets better course condition wise every time. The clubhouse, specifically the snack bar is terrible. But the golf course is a hidden gem, the greens are some of the best I have ever played and are always pristine. Golf course definately has some standing water issues when it rains and that takes away from the fairways but that is really the only negative. I bring many of my friends here from outside the area and they are always impressed and cannot believe they have never heard of it before. On my top five of best courses I have played!
